I can offer tuition in both Electric and Acoustic guitar (not classical, sorry!)
I teach my guitar lessons from Match Factory Studios in Gloucester (GL1 5RZ) – a professional rehearsal studio. Amplifiers can be provided free of charge.
Guitar Lessons are adapted to each individual player’s needs and goals.
There are no spoon-fed lesson plans here. Everyone of my students are different so I treat them that way.
Lessons will be geared towards what you want to learn and improve. Whether that be learning how to strum a few chords on an acoustic guitar or how to improvise your own blues-rock solos, you can bring your music theory up to scratch or leave it at the door. Lessons can be as formal or informal as you desire and the ultimate aim is to allow you to get playing what you want to play, and to have fun whilst learning.
Students will be taught songs from a list tailor made from their own influences. As it is important for the student to be passionate about what they are learning, I will analyse music from their favourite bands and artists structuring a personal curriculum that will introduce new chords, scales and techniques relevant to their favourite music. This style of teaching allows you to learn what you want to learn and to develop your techniques based on the music you love.
Parents of Students can be sent lessons summaries via email for their child’s guitar lessons, detailing their progress and helping them to support and develop their child’s musical talent.
